Macro photography is the art of taking close-up shots. The kind of
camera equipment you use will define how easy or tricky it is to get
that perfect shot. You can practice your skills on small objects you
find around the house, from sim cards to
kitchen utensils. Once you get the hang of it, you can capture more
interesting subjects-- insects, animals, and other tiny living beings!
Macro shots reveal details of a whole new universe that our eyes simply
cannot grasp.
I started to get interested into macro photography after seeing some great
macro images taken by some of the best macro photographers from the
Philippines as well as other countries. Since I'm just starting
off into this new field, my macro imaging capabilities is very limited
to using close up lenses as well as inverted lens with the Canon EOS 500D
DSLR body for the meantime. But I do hope to be able to finally
get a real macro lenses such as the Canon EF100mm f/2.8 Macro as well as
the highly regarded King of Macro, the Canon MP-E65mm f/2.8 Macro lens
in the months to come. For the meantime, please enjoy my simple
