MARCH 28, 2013 SPICA OCCULTATION BY GIBBOUS MOON IMAGES

Last March 28, a Spica occultation by the  Waning Gibbous Moon was visible in the Philippines. An occultation refers to the passage of a celestial body across a line between an observer and another celestial object. This event was visible both  disappearance (ingress) and reappearance (egress) . James Kevin Ty together with ALPer A were at Alberto Lao's place in Binondo to observe this event.

Below are images taken by James Kevin Ty using Canon 500D DSLR on Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS L lens  on Vixen Polarie  mount.
